About Marriage University
Our Mission

The Marriage Ministry’s mission is to equip couples on their marriage journey with biblical principles that serve, love, respect each other, and glorify God.
Marriage University brings couples together in small group settings, seminars, retreats, and so much more to learn about God’s design for marriage and biblical principles that build healthy relationships.
Every marriage has room for improvement. Marriage University provides a safe place where couples can work on their marriage relationship together. If your marriage needs a complete overhaul course correction, Marriage University is here to help you along the way.
We also offer premarital and marital counseling should couples need more of a one-on-one setting. You can achieve the marriage that you want. Give Marriage University a try.
Who We Are
We believe marriage is something to celebrate and that God uses marriage to teach us more about who He is and how He loves. God’s image reflects how we submit, serve, and love each other sacrificially.
Our Experience

With years of experience in supporting couples, we have helped many navigate the complexities of marriage, strengthen their bond, and find joy in their relationship. We are dedicated to helping couples thrive in their marriages.
Who are the Pastors?
Johnny & Demetria Brooks
Johnny O. Brooks and Demetria V. Brooks are the founders of Embassy Christian Center based in Fayetteville, NC. With a national call to ministry, they are multi-gifted pastors, conference speakers, preachers, and teachers with an apostolic mantle to IMPACT and change lives. Armed with the Word of God, these innovative visionaries have a global assignment to change the world as God uses them to inspire the men and women of faith. Their passion is to LEAD, IMPART, and EMPOWER the people of faith to reach their destiny and forcefully advance the Kingdom of God, according to 2 Corinthians 5:20.
The Dynamic Duo began their ministry in March 2006 with just five people (themselves and their three children), and by the next week, the hand of God graciously added to the church members and continues to grow the ministry today.
Bishop Johnny and Apostle Demetria have celebrated over 32 years of blissful marriage, and they are the proud parents of their three wonderful boys, Johnny J, Kayivah, and Noah, as well as two daughter-in-loves and three grandchildren.

Premarital Counseling
Marriage is a sacred covenant for a lifetime, and we believe that couples should invest more time and thoughtfulness into their marriage preparation than wedding preparation.
Is Premarital counseling available?
Yes, premarital and marital counseling is available for individuals who have completed the Embassy’s membership process.
How long is premarital counseling?
Premarital counseling is preparation for a sacred lifetime covenant, and couples should invest time preparing for such commitment. The typical premarital counseling session varies from 3-4 sessions and should begin immediately after engagement and before a wedding date is set.

We are planning to have our wedding at another venue, but we would like one of the pastors to officiate at our wedding. Is that possible, and how would we make that request?
To request the services of one of the pastors, you must have completed the premarital counseling process and submit a written request to the pastor.
What resources does the Embassy use for premarital counseling?
